社会保险卡又称SIN卡，无论您是否打算在加拿大工作，您都需要这张卡，它就是您的身份证。卡上的号码称社会保险号(Social
Insurance Number)，是您在加拿大的身份证号码。找工作、上学(按本地学生缴费)、申请社会福利...
...可以说不论您作什么，都缺不了这张卡。
当您抵达加拿大后，第一件事就是申请SIN卡。申请人需携带护照及移民签证(俗称移民纸)，亲自去就近的加拿大人事部就业中心(Employment
Center, Human Resources Development Canada)办理。
SIN卡会在三至四周后寄给您。查询多伦多市人事部就业中心的地址，您可以致电(416)730-1211。

Health Card)
有了安省医疗保健卡，您就可以免费享用安省医疗保健计划所包括的医疗及住院服务。所有刚刚抵达加拿大的人士，都应当尽快申请领取医疗保健卡。
您在享受安省医疗保健计划前，必须在安大略省居住超过三个月。在这三个月内，您不受安省医疗保健计划的保障，所以，您最好购买一份短期的医疗保险，以备不时之需。
